John is a legendary banjo player, 50 year member of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, childhood friend and frequent collaborator of Steve Martin. More importantly, he’s a really nice guy who has played with just about everyone in the Americana, Country and Rock scenes at one time or another. Join us for a little known, feel good musical story, with never before seen footage of stars like Linda Rondstat and Steve Martin, incredible bluegrass performances from John Hartford, David Bromberg and John and friends out on the road today…

Cinema and Vacation Rental Productions at Mangofish Studios.

For the past thirteen years, we’ve produced, shot, and magicked up films, videos, photos, podcasts and multimedia projects for commercial clients and broadcasters such as TVN Media, Mediapro, The New York Times, Valvoline and Booking.com. Cinema was always our passion but travel, architecture and culinary was our bread and butter. With the feature documentary project The Life I’ve Picked we were able to come home to the pacific coast of Panama and build out our post-production and sound studios into a Media Lab. In the US we continue a special focus on vacation rental content under our Vacation Rental Productions brand and with The Life I’ve Picked nearly complete and the Panama Film Fund winning Chacaleria out soon, our cinematic transformation is well underway.

There is nothing quite like the feeling of one of the world’s largest travel brands picking up your boot-strapped YouTube show and helping you take it to the next level. Two seasons in we’re on broadcast platforms across the MENA region and YouTube audiences have spent nearly 20 years viewing our content, so far. In the process we helped build an educational platform and raise a major brand’s profile and credibility in one of the hottest areas of travel.
